Farewell Just Jhoom!

I bring you this blogpost with a sense of great sadness and yet hope for the future.

Over the last few months I have made the difficult decision to close down my beloved business – Just Jhoom!

As some of you may know, the last two years have been difficult for me with the passing of my beautiful, lovely husband and soulmate Jeremy and earlier this year the passing of my father too.  And so, after a lot of soul-searching and careful deliberation, I have decided to make some significant changes in my life. I would like to focus my efforts on the Jeremy Lucas Education Fund, set up in Jeremy’s name after he passed away in 2016. We’ve already given 12 Kenyan children the chance of a secondary and tertiary education, and there is so much more we can do to improve young lives in Kenya.

The closing of the company will be gradual and will start from June this year and be completed in early 2019. Just Jhoom! dance-fitness classes will continue as usual throughout the UK until 2020, and after that your Instructor may still provide Bollywood dance-fitness classes in your area. Anyone currently enrolled on one of the online courses will not be affected until our website closes in Spring 2019. Please do take a look at all the wonderful offers we have in our shop. It’s not too late to enrol on a course or buy a DVD.

I want to thank all the brilliant Just Jhoom! Instructors who run our dance-fitness classes throughout the UK and all of you who have supported Just Jhoom! by attending a class or enrolling onto an online course. I am very much looking forward to what the future holds for me, and it is with feelings of hope and renewal that I am leaving this chapter of my life and starting a new one.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed the past eight years with Just Jhoom! as much as I have. Thank you once again for being on this jhoomtastic journey with me – I will always be grateful for your support.

Do take a look at all the wonderful things we have achieved over the past eight jhoomtastic years. Eight years of laughter, fun, dance, friendship, hardwork and excitement.

I will continue to blog over the next few months – so please do keep an eye out for new blogposts. But in the meantime I’d like to wish you all the very best for the future and remember, as always… Keep Jhooming!

Best wishes

Shalini
